Let Dance in the Rain By: Oluwajimi Thorpe

Let dance in the rain, feeling the droplet as it drizzles over us echoing into our inner ear's. Let the silence of the hour with the touch of your cold knuckles make me wander into oblivion.  Let the sadness of the wanderer die in a soft lonely echo, like the night I walked you. Let stop the world misconception, the prince should not be in hast for the stool. Let hours become seconds, with sweet scents, borne aloft as we fall in an untumultuous eternity of love. Let enjoy the moment, the pleasure and  make this moment last forever. "Let dance in the rain, It take's one to know one" To be continued.. ©OJThorpe

Nigerians, This Is Rashidi Yekini By:Daniel A Noah

Nigerians, this is Rashidi Yekini.  The greatest football Striker the Nigerian senior football team has ever had. He worked so hard to put Nigerian football on the map. He never rejected National call ups, he never discriminated against any National team player. He played every match he was invited for, and with any group of players. Yekini single handedly qualified us for our first world cup. He brought joy to the hearts of many Nigerians and succour to us during many trying moments. Yekini scored our first world cup goal, he won a Nations cup for us. Before then he won 3 Nations cup silver and one bronze for us. Oh, the Yekingly, the goalsfather who won highest goal scorer in the Nigerian league 3 times, in Ivory Coast, in Portugal. He scored goals for Nigeria at the Nations Cup in 84, 88, scored highest goals in 90,92 and 94. What a player, what a man. Yekini died frustrated in 2012 after giving the better part of his life to this Country.  He was forgotten and...

SEXUALLY PREYED By: Africax5

I want to bring awareness about sexual predators and our girls! This is a forbidden subject in the black community because maybe it happened to you or maybe it is going on right now in your house! It doesn’t matter who don’t like my post because if this post saves one then it served its purpose.  If a child informs you someone has touched them act on it! Most people are taught not to talk about it, well those days are over! Let talk about things that are inappropriate! When I was a kid sexual predators were our neighbours or family members.  But our kids today face online predators who are comfortable driving across states just to entice your child! They are facing and dealing with things we didn’t! Let these number stay with you! 1 out of 4 girls is molested or sexually preyed on.  That means take four girls and one of them has been assaulted. We have to stand up for our girls! If you know someone that is a predator speak!!!!!!!!! They generally hurt seve...

America's Bounty Diplomacy By: Daud Muhammad

In the American frontier, emergent societies functioned barely within the law and citizens had to contend with all manner of brigands. In the absence of a standard police force, self-help was key to social order. Those who could not muster enough guns and men to secure their honour or recover stolen property offered rewards (bounties) and frequently hired professional 'thieftakers' to track and bring fugitives to justice 'dead or alive'. Ironically, the thieftakers were often themselves criminals yet at large ...  Further details have emerged on the US$2,000,000 –ransom placed on Liberia's former (democratically elected) president Charles Taylor by the American government. The reward clause was allegedly 'smuggled' into a Bill for the funding of Mr. Bush's escapade in Iraq, and some Congressmen have even threatened to stop American aid to Nigeria until Taylor is handed over. The Bush administration is aware that Mr. Taylor's Nigerian exile is ...

MY RELICS Of OUR BEL💚VED EKITI By: Aladejana Oluwatoyin

1977, The year I finally attained the Big 1-0! (i.e 10 Years-Old). An irrefutable activity inundated year in Nigeria, as "FESTAC '77" The Festival Of Arts And Culture, held in Lagos State, our Country's seat of government at the time, FESTAC 77 would liberally qualify as Nigeria's pre-occupational event of All-Time. Among the notable highlights of 1977 were; my bright pink, brick hard, sugar iced,10th birthday cake; the establishment of NNPC, and the raid of Fela's "Kalakuta Republic under General Obasanjo's military leadership. It's 6am in  the month of December, though it feels like a 3am assault on my young, sleep deprived eyes. Mum and Dad bundled us and our pre-packed luggage into their wine red, fueled up Volvo 244DL, license plate: "WP 2233". See you in the New Year, Ibadan, as "EKITI" Urgently "Beckons! Next stop, 'Osu'; the Atakumosa West local government town, renowned for her culinary expertis...

MY PERCEPTION OF CORRUPTION By: Fagbohun Oyewole

Corruption is everywhere. It's from time immemorial. It's corrupt practices that made Judas to disappoint Jesus Christ.  Politically, the act of corruption varies geographically. In most cases, in the advanced world, a corrupt officer will like to resign position, when caught.  Its not so in the case of developing world. That's why the act is very perturbing in this part of the world I find myself. We can only minimize the degree of the act of corruption. Globally,  it's very unrealistic to be eradicated. Let's try our possible best in whatever we do to minimize this evil act.
