"I WISH I NEVER MET HER" By: E. D. Oghre

Crystal was my best friend, who would have ever thought that I would regret meeting her? She was the only one who understood me. She just sat there listening to me rant, and even though she never said a word, I could feel the love and understanding in her gaze. To me life was perfect . That was until mum left. I guess mums leaving broke dads heart and his mind too,  he had no place to vent his frustration so he turned our house into a boxing ring My dad kept beating me, he used the mop stick, it broke. He used the NEPA wire to decorate my body, tears fell from my cheek to the solid ground. I became his punching bag. This became our everyday day ritual, get beaten and cry to Crystal who was always there. The only relief was when grandma Clarie came. She seemed to be able to calm him down, just a word from her shut him down. She was like the referee to our unending match. My personal angel. On that day,  dad was at it again, he threw the speaker at me but as I t...

Let's dance on this one

I wish I could draw back the hands of time, To that moment you wanted the pen. I would have let it go; Wouldn't have let loose my ego. Your stories were right, Though I saw never in it a light. With that I dragged, The light on our part flagged, The image I wouldn't draw, I drew as I dragged with you. Alas! nobody sees you Save my guilty face... Oh conscience! I wish I had yielded to you.                           I'm LORD SCART #eStreetWriters                             PEACE Artwork By: Rogelio de Egusquiza

"DEATH, WHERE ART THOU" By: Ogbonnaya Joel. N

I once looked into the mirror & broke my future when it appeared. I see better with my eyes closed. The journey smelled bloody, threatening Thorns tore better parts of me. I ran faster with crippled legs. I could listen deafly to mothers heart beats Pounding out in silence in fathers mortar. I could hear better with deafened ears. There are million ways of calling death names Like you, I would have called her & kissed her I called her with a broken tongue & ran after her. She is a beauty wrapped in faded colours Of mother's smelly black & white wrapper. & her curves are extra letters of Muse. She runs at a kill to the stretched arm of another man.  Never think she stays in the body she's visited. The body visited first & refused to leave. She left for her man, the body died without her. Never Waste Your Time With Someone Like This By: Holly Riordan

Never waste your time with someone who acts hypocritical. Someone who will scream their lungs dry when you take too long to answer their texts or cancel plans with them without warning, but will turn around and do the same exact thing to you without any guilt. Someone who hates being treated the way they treat you— but makes no effort to change their own behavior. Never waste your time with someone who creates drama with every step of their feet. Someone who cannot go a week without getting into a screaming match. Someone who constantly complains about how everyone they have dated before is a bitch and how everyone at work is incompetent, because they cannot see the problem is with their reflection. Never waste your time with someone who is unable to control their temper. Someone who consistently acts out of anger. Someone who feels like the world is conspiring against them every time they run into a slight inconvenience because they believe everyth...

DON’T GET MARRIED UNTIL YOU CAN ANSWER THESE 11 QUESTIONS

Marriage is not something any of us should rush into. When you marry someone, you are essentially saying that you’re ready to spend the rest of your life with them, forsaking all others. You’re saying that you’re ready to settle down with them and devote your life to them. Marriage means obligations, commitments and dedication. It doesn’t come in kit form, but it’s something you have to work at. Besides the usual, “Do you take such and such to be your lawfully married husband/wife?” question, there are also a few questions you need to answer before you walk down the aisle. Answering these questions should help to confirm whether you are ready to get married or not, and they should help to avoid a nasty and painful divorce that none of us should ever have to go through. Without further ado, let’s take a look at 11 questions to ask before getting married. 1. Are You Emotionally Attracted To Your Partner? This is one of the most important quest...

Words women use when angry but mean the opposite

Most women often communicate in 'coded words' where the say one thing to mean the other. This in most cases happens when a lady gets angry and just decides not to open up. According to Sex and Relationship expert, Susan Quilliam, women are always in the habit of expressing their anger through this means of saying one thing but mean the opposite. This mostly happens when they are angry, disappointed or stressed with a particular issue or person. At times, it needs the man to apply some intelligence in order to interpret the message being passed. Here are some words women use that exactly mean the opposite Nothing This is one response women normally give instead to mean 'something'. Women normally use this response when angry and don't want to talk about an issue. This is always meant to cut the story short. I'm fine This word actually means the opposite of it. It instead suppos...
