Life is short and great and with all pleasure that comes out of it. "Life", make the best out of it. Even when sadness comes, cheer it off with the little of happiness that comes. Never loose "Hope".

After my father died, I lost concentration, I lost Hope.

A friend of mine now said, "you are to young to loose Hope",

And I said, "where was Hope before I lost my Father?", he said again, "Don't loose Hope". Then, I started struggling, having the mindset not to lose Hope. After two years of studying a course, I lost Hope. Why? Because I never kept it real. Then, the friend said, "never keep fake Hope, keep it real, keep the hopes real". Then, I remembered the words of my father; "To make it in life, you must have a dream and struggle more." So, I started to dream, to struggle, so I could reach the point of success. Before the death of my father, life brought happiness in my home, but after his death, life traded it for sadness. However, from the little of happiness, you drew my strength from "Hope". Since then, I have been hoping and dreaming for more.

"Keep it real and Struggle more to reach a successful point".

It’s Dangerous to use broom to mash ‘ewedu,’ Gastroenterologist warns

Using a small bunch of broomsticks, known as ijabe, to mash ewedu (mallow-leaves) is very common among Nigerians when preparing the slimy soup. However, medical experts have said that the age-old practice is actually fraught with dangers. Ewedu is also known as Rama ayoyo among Hausa, while the Igbo call it Kerenkere. Dr. Adegboyega Akere of the Department of Medicine, University College Hospital, Ibadan, on Wednesday, advised women and caterers to desist from the practice. Akere, a Consultant Gastroenterologist, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Ibadan that food handlers should always use blender for ewedu and every other ingredient used in cooking it. “They should not use broom to mash the vegetable,” he said. Akere said this is because ewedu soup that is mashed with broomsticks could still retain splinters of the broom, however minute. He said that when eaten, the splinters from the broomsticks could get trapped inside the oesophagus or the intestine. Akere ...
